This information has been generated by the German Embassy in Dhaka. It is valid for visa applications in Bangladesh (BGD) if Germany or Estonia is your main destination. Applicants are requested to read it carefully and observe the regulations as stated below
Schengen Online Visa Application Checklist
- Completely filled out and signed Schengen visa application form
- Filled out and signed Declaration of Consent.
- Valid passport with minimum three months validity from the date of expiry of the requested visa and at least two free “visa pages”
Previous passport(s) if applicable
- One recent biometric passport sized photograph (35x45mm, white background, 70% – 80% face coverage); Head coverings are only accepted for religious reasons.
- Overseas medical insurance – Valid for the entire duration of the requested visa and for all Schengen countries. Minimum coverage 30,000,– Euro and repatriation.
- Proof of accommodation – Valid hotel/guesthouse reservation for the entire travel with full address, contact information, booking reference (if the applicant intends to stay with a family member or a friend: proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation from the host.) Accommodation has to be identical with flight reservation.
- Flight reservation or travel itinerary
Personal covering letter explaining the purpose of visit and mentioning who will bear the travel cost
- Invitation letter from company/authority in Germany or Estonia with full address,
stating the purpose and duration of the business trip.
(In case of congress you need to also submit a congress participation
confirmation and for trade fairs a visitor card or an exhibitor card along with fair
details) - Tour Plan lining out the entire intended itinerary/activities in the Schengen area
- Original personal bank statements of at least the last 6 months before application and proof of other financial means and assets (e.g. DPS, FDR, holding tax payment receipt etc.).
- Copy of last personal tax return certificate.
- If the travel cost will be borne by a third party, for example any company or any
person in Bangladesh, the company/the person has to provide its bank statement
for the last 6 months along with a consent letter from the company/the person. - Documents related to civil status:
– Copy of Marriage Certificate – if married (also “Nikah Nama” both in
Bangla and English, for Muslim marriage)
– Copy of Divorce Certificate (“Talak Nama”) – if divorced
– Copy of Death Certificate – in case of applicant is widow
– Copy of Birth Certificate if applicant has any children - Additional photocopies:
– Copies of previous Schengen, US, Canada or UK visa, if applicable
If Applicant is employed by a company
- Letter from local employer including name, address and telephone number
of sponsor/company, with details regarding applicant’s working position,
starting date of employment, salary and timeframe of work leave (expected
date to resume duties), purpose of travel, including information who covers
the expenses of the business trip, including accommodation and all
occurring costs in Germany and in Schengen countries. - Copy of the valid trade license of the applicant’s own company
- Copy of Certificate of Incorporation with Memorandum of article(only the
pages with the name of the shareholders of the company), if applicable - Original company’s bank statements for the past 6 months, mentioning
overdraft limit (if any overdraft limit); if travel cost will be borne by your
company. - Information reflecting the existence of trade relations or relations for work
purposes stating details of company in Germany and in Bangladesh (e.g.
L/C Copy, Bill of Lading)
If Applicant is Retired:
- Pension statements for the last 6 months
If Applicant is Student:
- No Objection Certificate from School /College/ University
- Completely filled out and signed Schengen visa application form
- Filled out and signed Declaration of Consent.

Mandatory document to be submitted by the applicant to the embassy for visa interview:
- Passport with validity not less than 6 months from the date of application
- Appointment confirmation letter

- Two copies of 50mm X 50mm (2”x2”)-size color picture with white backgrounds, specific guideline needs to be followed directed by the embassy in this regard

- Trade license, Memorandum of Association, Certificate of Incorporation, Form-12, Income Tax Certificate, e-TIN number, and other relevant business documents.
- Updated Bank statements for the last 12 months have a significant amount of balance i.e. 30 lac around
- All documents that prove financial solvency like fixed deposits, stock business portfolio, copy of national savings certificates, etc.
- Photocopy of International credit card if available
- If the applicant is a Government Service holder, then a copy of the GEO
- If the applicant is a retired person, then the proof of retirement
- All previous passports
- Proof of relationship with spouse and children even if they are not travelling along i.e marriage certificate, birth certificates, copy of passports, etc.

- Salary certificate and pay slip
- A biodata consisting of present and permanent address, contact no, email address, educational qualification, marital status, employment history, etc.
- A copy of the National ID Card
- Copy of all previous visas

Terms and conditions
- The visa issue is a discretionary matter and under the jurisdiction of the visa officers only, Stellar will put all reasonable efforts into making the visa application case a success.
- The visa interview date will be subject to the available interview slot at the embassy.
- Stellar’s service charges are non-refundable irrespective of the visa application outcome.
- Service charges should be paid 100% in advance vide account payee cheque in favor of Stellar Visa and Travel Assist, A/C. No. 1041350000170, Routing No. 095261720, Eastern Bank Limited, Gulshan Branch or by using bKash mobile banking at 01844-601029
- Steller will not be held responsible for any sort of misleading information given by the applicant that may lead to rejection
- Visa Information & charges set by the embassy can be changed anytime without prior notice
- The visa fee to the embassy is separate from the service charges mentioned in the schedule of charges above and is to be paid extra
- Any sort of document preparation from any third party is to be paid extra
- Standard file processing time is 2 (Two) working days. Additional time may be required in case of lacking any documents or information
